I use a variety of different methods depending on each persons needs. I can create classes to tailor to different skill levels. We shall sit and you are free to ask questions and we can work together to meet your aims. I can also offer guidance and have some lesson plans and practice routines we can work through. These can also vary depending on your own interests and goals.
These lesson can include a mixture of topics depending on how long you wish to focus on a topic. Or we can focus on something you want to improve more directly.
As I say my lessons are relatively informal, I'm here to listen to what you want to play, or learn about and give you the tools to follow your interests. I will teach you as best I can and give you the resources you need to build up your knowledge and ability to practice. Then it is up to you to practice as much or as little as you wish, or have time for. I won't judge, I will be here to teach and support your learning.
I've been playing guitar from a very young age, I started classical guitar lessons in primary school. Then continued to play through my teens alongside lessons in electric guitar. I played in bands and practiced. Then decided to go back to study more. I studied music performance and technology for a year then went on to study Bsc Music Technology at UWS in paisley. Deciding I wanted to learn more about the theory of music, I have since changed my degree to a BA Music degree. I am still studying this and will be finished in 2025.
