Connie Rigby

I am a dynamic teacher and adjust to the needs of my students. I create a personal learning plan with the student based on their priorities. In most cases I cover all bases of speaking, reading, writing and listening. Sometimes students require one skill more than the other in which case I adapt my lesson plans. At the beginning of every session we review the learning plan and create a set of learning objectives. I provide handouts and vocabulary lists and use a wide range of textbooks and videos. I will engage with the student's interests to involve these in the learning as sometimes talking about the environment and school can grow taxing. I work with a range of different students from business workers to young children and what sets me apart is the personal nature of my teaching and how I adapt to each student and remain focussed on their goals.
