I am a tutor with five years of experience teaching online and in person. I tutor English from reception up to year 9 and maths up to GCSE. Whether it's helping children learn how to read more confidently or practising their timetables! I also offer sessions for 11+ exams including GL and CEM. I have tutored and prepared children for these exams by covering all the topics and techniques on how to answer the questions.

I aim to make lessons fun and rewarding by tailoring them to each individual. The sessions can focus on one topic or interweave different areas depending on what suits the student. I encourage students to test their understanding with recall and how they will apply their knowledge. I also encourage students to have a go at new or difficult topics and help them learn how to develop problem-solving skills. I focus on building their confidence and teaching them how to approach challenging topics. I teach them that making mistakes is an important part of learning!

Every session is planned with lots of fun activities with games too! I will adapt and tailor my tutoring style as everyone learns in different ways. I can offer feedback at the end of every session focusing on improvements, areas of difficulty and what the student was brilliant at! I have experience tutoring children with SEND needs including autism and ADHD. I will work with the parents and students to ensure the sessions are suitable and changes can be made when needed.
