Hello Learners! My name is Clodagh and I am from Ireland. I have lots of experience teaching English, both online and in person. I taught in a school in Spain for just over a year, teaching kids as young as 3 all the way up to adults!
I have a Level 3 TEFL certificate, as well as experience teaching Cambridge English Exam classes, Business English classes and one-to-one tutorials. In the school in Spain I was also the schools designated "toddler teacher" running classes for 2/3 year old students with their parents, which was really interesting!
My teaching style is hybrid and I put lots of emphasis on fluency and confidence with speaking. As well as this, I can help you with writing and listening skills as well as teaching grammar and new vocabulary.
The format of a lesson with me is an intro and some icebreakers. Then we will hopefully have a chosen topic/area you wish to work on ahead of a lesson. I follow a PPP structure learned from TEFL which works really well and is very engaging. Student talking time is one of my main priorities in our classes as this is one of the best ways for students to retain our learnings.
Overall I am here for your needs - I believe that with my experience and knowledge, I can help you in your specific way. I love to plan lessons so that each individual student gets a lesson especially for them! This is a big part of my ethos as an english tutor :)
