I am open to suggestions to what the pupil may want to play and am happy to work on other repertoire that the student may have (e.g. ensemble repertoires). I also like to make it fun by playing some duets. My lessons are usually 30 minutes or 45 minutes for more advanced students.
For theory lessons I would recap some stuff we done last time to reconsolidate the knowledge. I usually teach a new topic every week and then spend the lesson practicing. I also give tips on exam technique. My theory lessons are 30 minutes.
I am quite well rounded when it comes to music: I like performing, listening and composing. I have experience both as a soloist and performing in chamber ensembles and in an orchestra. I also write articles about music to invite people to listen to a wider range of genres.
