I am currently a teacher of Computing and IT in a secondary school..

I have over 10 years experience in teaching, which is made up of SEND, Further and Secondary education across various subjects including Computing, IT, Theatre and Drama.

I have experience teaching BTEC L2 and L3 as well as the AQA and Edexcel GCSE in Computer Science and KS3 IT and Computing.I pride myself on using creative ways to teach and assess, as well as using real world examples to help teach complex topics of the Computing Curriculum. My theatre background enabled me to teach more creatively and to encourage the pupil’s own innovation, which is why I teach Accessible Education using Theatre and Clowning Module in Further Education at a Masters level.

I have experience in programming in C#, PHP and Python as well as teaching these in such a way that students are able to make progress. I have also created the casting database for Assassin’s Creed.

I’m offering private tuition to those who need extra support with their Computing Studies or general IT skills. My approach to teaching is a personalised one and I look to use a range of different assessment methodologies to identify gaps and measure progress. My pupils will learn to also self assess their progress, allowing better learning and revision practise.

Prior to any tutoring sessions I like to meet for an initial conversation to see how I best can support their learning, which is free of charge.

For examination practise, the papers can be completed and worked online and using a Google Chrome plug-in, I can ensure that the paper is being completed without cheating or browsing for answers online.

All my sessions are carried out via Google Meet , so that tutoring can be scheduled around a time that suits you from the comfort of your own home. All the work will also be submitted and logged via Google Classroom, organizing all the work by topic to make revision easier.
