The student will be my lead. As they are young children I incorporate everyday objects and Cuisenaire rods to visualize math concepts. Math is fun. My daughter had learning difficulties and I assumed she gets the support she needed. She didn’t. In year 3 she couldn’t write the numbers from 0 to 10. I started to teach her myself. For her we played maths, for me it was teaching her a systematic approach to the requested curriculum. The school was convinced she won’t pass her SATs. She did 105 out of 120. Each child is different and I am able to find out what will make your child understand maths. If the basic concepts of maths are lacking, math will be always a drag and the results are not just low grades, but will undermine their confidence. I want your child to experience joy with numbers and have a feeling of accomplishment. An important step to their academic achievement, their future careers and trust in their own abilities.

Before I had children on my own I tutored Latin for many years.
