I’m a fluent English speaker with a rich experience in teaching. I will successfully complete my studies by the end of this year gaining a bachelor of education (secondary) qualification. My teaching is more suitable to students with basic to moderate understanding in English who would like to develop their reading, writing, and vocal pronunciation further to become competent.
My course offers an introductory lesson to meet new students and gain an understanding of their individual learning capabilities and English-speaking knowledge. My tutoring is student-centred and caters greatly to the goals of the student. I moderate my lessons based on the individuals skillset and goals they would like to achieve. Each lesson goes for an hour with 1-on-1 activities and explicit teaching. My services include a variation of activities and materials with visual and audio stimuli both engaging and relevant to lesson outcomes. Each week, I like to quiz students to see how they improve each week and to see which areas they feel confident in or further improvement needed. There is no limit to how many lessons students can participate in.
Due to my experience, I can prepare high quality lesson plans to explicitly teach with the goal of improving student knowledge. My lesson plans apply across all student capabilities; activities are modified to suit student level. My lessons aim to target skills in oral and written forms of communication; quintessential for those learning English as a second-language. It is also a requirement that I teach students to practically apply their new knowledge and confidence in English speaking in everyday use. I aim to form a professional rapport with students and in hope that they continue learning, students can improve on a daily-weekly basis.
