About me

I create a calm and encouraging environment for learning. I am patient, understanding and I explain things clearly. I make sure the foundational learning is in place before building upon it, giving students confidence. I create a calm and encouraging environment for learning. I am patient, understanding and I explain things clearly. I make sure the foundational learning is in place before building upon it, giving students confidence. I celebrate the individuality of each student, focusing on their strengths and enabling them to gain the confidence to tackle their weaknesses in a secure and supportive environment.

I have over 25 years teaching experience either working in schools or as a home-tutor.

I have an Open degree, majoring in Biological Sciences with the Open University. I achieved Qualified Teacher Status at Secondary School level in 1997. I went on to complete my study of Educational Management at Masters level.

I have taught in secondary and middle schools. I successfully home educated my own children at primary and secondary level including GCSEs and A-Levels.
