I try to plan lessons that play to my student's strengths and interests. Do you enjoy technology? I will find a way to incorporate it into our maths revision! It is vitally important that my students learn and revise appropriately while still enjoying their time with me. Extra tuition shouldn't feel like a chore!

Mostly, we are part of a team! I encourage regular feedback and conversation with the parents on how their child is doing. I also believe that children need to learn to self-assess work to improve. Above revising the curriculum, we will learn to evaluate and improve our work by learning to self-reflect on what went well and how our work could be even better if we made subtle language or grammar changes. I encourage children to think critically about their own goals and steps forward

I am happy to do 11+ interview question prep, work on reaching math targets or even to learn to write with fluency. I aim to work patiently with my students, encouraging them and building up their confidence.
