I self taught the flute during the COVID pandemic and although could get a tune from the instrument, I knew it was a limited range and that my reading and understanding of music was a similar level. I looked for help on line and found a link to Claire and made contact. Right from the start of the face to face lessons, Claire increased my confidence and joy of making music. Claire worked on my posture, breath control, musical theory, beat rhythm and timing. As the weeks passed so did my confidence. Claire pushed me to play more challenging pieces of music, improving my knowledge and ability. It was a pleasure to play a number of duets with Claire, although the gap in our abilities was clear, it didn't seem to matter, it was always fun Claire was very patient and always calm and helped me immensely. So much so I have been able to play to a small audience and play through mistakes without getting frustrated and interrupting flow. It was about enjoyment, not perfection. Thanks C
