My lessons always include the opportunity to recap previous learning, ensuring that students can make strong connections and build on what they already know. This approach reinforces key concepts, strengthens retention, and boosts confidence in their abilities.

I strive to make my sessions as engaging and interactive as possible, incorporating games, video clips, and other stimulating materials to spark curiosity and sustain interest. I also make frequent use of visuals, which are particularly effective in helping pupils grasp new or challenging concepts. By presenting information in varied and creative ways, I aim to cater to different learning styles, abilities, and individual needs.

I actively seek to incorporate students’ personal interests into the learning process—for example, choosing reading materials or writing tasks that reflect their hobbies or passions. This makes learning more relevant, enjoyable, and meaningful, encouraging deeper engagement and intrinsic motivation.

Each session ends with a recap of what has been achieved, allowing me to reflect on progress and tailor the next lesson accordingly, ensuring continuity and clear progression.

Currently, I am a teacher at a local primary school. This means I am fully up to date with current educational practices, school expectations, and the National Curriculum. I regularly take part in professional development opportunities, which continue to enhance my skills both as a classroom teacher and as a tutor. My ongoing training ensures that I can provide high-quality, up-to-date teaching that supports every child’s individual progress and promotes a lifelong love of learning.
