My lessons are predominantly lecture-based and are differentiated based on each students individual need. I enjoy employing games and activities along with worksheets to ensure that each student is involved in the material and retaining it well. Each lesson can be adapted for students to ensure they are learning via the method which works best for them. Interactive learning is encouraged, with questions and discussions always eagerly accepted.

The flow of the lessons tend to begin with marking homework set the week before and discussing any issues or queries, then a quick summary of what was taught at the previous lesson and ensuring that everything was understood. Next, moving onto the current topic by working through an interactive lecture, completing activities throughout it and answering questions, then a worksheet afterwards. We will then discuss the worksheet together and again correct anything uncertain. Homework is set for the following week which can be emailed to myself to mark or we can go through this together at the beginning of the next lesson. Again, the flow of the lessons is collaborative and can be adjusted for each students preference.

I have been a tutor for over 10 years and tutored a variety of different topics throughout my career including English as a foreign language, History, Business Management, Biology, Reading, Writing and the snare drum. I have work experience in schools and have continued working with pupils throughout their school career.
