I'm a recent graduate who's just completed their Bachelor of Science, majored in Infection and Immunity and I have 5 years of tutoring experience in maths and science, tutored over 50 students throughout this time, both in-person and online.

Throughout my lessons, I will check student's homework to look for gaps in their knowledge, and what needs to be worked on, teaching them new concepts and explaining it in ways that they can understand it more easily and that way, they can work through the questions more easily and independently. I do this my providing practice questions and will encourage them to keep practicing until they've got the hang of it. I also provide practice tests for my students to do whenever they have a test coming up so that they can prepare for it too.

I don't solely believe in this whole do-this, do-that approach as this doesn't necessarily create understanding and more independent thinkers. I like to take the time and explain difficult concepts to my students and doing so until they finally understand it, and also, it creates a better rapport between the student and their tutor. It's also important to understand that every student will have different learning needs and struggles and so, it's important to adopt slightly different methods of teaching styles to different students and adjusting my lesson plans where I see it, to better adapt to their learning needs.

My lessons are 30 pounds per hour and for 45 pounds for 90-minute sessions. Please message me if you're interested.
