I taught summer class in Hong Kong, that is a preparation for students’ next year study. It’s good to understand what you’re going to study beforehead in summer holidays and also revise what they have learnt in last academic year as to reinforce the knowledge and also prepare for the future study. We had online class three to four times a week, each time around one hour and fifteen minutes. I gave them exercises and guide them to finish part of it, also left some of them as homework.
My teaching is based on patience, listening and sharing. I understand sometimes students may not be able to present themselves clearly and they may not know what they’re struggling, so as a tutor, I need to have patience to ask them questions as to find out their difficulties as well as listen carefully their needs, finally share methods to help them with proper guidance.
