Upon my graduation from high school, I entered the Faculty of Molecular Biology and
Genetics at Istanbul University in Turkey and then, I attended to master’s degree in the Near
East University in the field of Education in the Secondary School Subject Teaching. After that,
I was accepted to another master’s degree about Bio-medicine by Lancaster University. I am
currently working as a Biology and English Language Art (ELA) teacher in Suzhou, China since 2016.

Between September 2012 and May 2014, I worked in a high school as a teacher assistant. 6
months trainee position , a compulsory task under my MA programme in Cyprus was also
covered during this time period. During the first 2 months, I attended several different classes,
namely, Biology, Physic, Chemistry, Maths and English as an observer. Here, I observed the
teachers, their teaching methods and styles, and the most importantly, how they manage their
classes. After the observation period, I attended different level classes as a teacher to teach
GCE/IGCSE & AS/A-Level biology courses.

The most important tasks of my previous and recent teaching positions in China include
planning, preparing and delivering English & Biology (IBDP, AS/A-Level & IGCSE), Maths,
Science (IB-PYP) lessons to a range of classes and age groups from 3 to 40 years-old,
preparing and setting tests and exercises, marking and providing appropriate feedback on oral
and written work, devising, writing and producing new materials, including audio and visual
resources.

My MA study and work experiences have enabled me not only to gain skills in teaching and
management, but also to enhance my leadership, organisational and communication skills.

Being ambitious, pragmatic, undaunted, resilient, forward-thinking, hardworking, diligent and
a confident, inquisitive team player, as well as possessing the skills of managing time, solving
problems under pressure, thinking creatively, paying attention to detail and being able to work
independently invariably form the sinew of my achievements.
