An independent and well-motivated qualified teacher, I spent 8 months teaching English as a foreign language across all age ranges in China and have developed a calm and mature attitude towards work as well as a record of achieving good results, proving my reliability and trustworthiness. Having spent 6 years working in primary schools in the UK, I particularly enjoy working with young people and seeing them excell. I have taught and planned subjects across the National Curriculum including the use of Read Write Inc, Maths No Problem, White Rose, Jane Consadine and Cornerstones. Using this experience, I became Head of Geography which allowed me to adapt and monitor the progress of children across the whole school.
Through my experience in schools, I have taught children of all ages and ability levels. I am flexible and adaptive, ensuring the learning that I deliver is appropriate and challenging to the students I work with. While teaching in China, I taught college students and adults to help improve their skills in the work place, when travelling abroad or working with international colleagues. I have tutored children in China and the UK, by following the learning set by the school or designed bespoke resources to assess and meet the needs of the children I teach. Throughout the lockdown, I had adapted to using remote resources to teach a full class of children and have a variety of software to teach and assess including Google Documents, SeeSaw, Class Dojo, Microsoft Teams and Zoom. My role as an educator is to see the students I teach reach their full potenital and achieve their goals.
