The term 'theology' means a word (logos) about God (theos); so, anytime we are talking about God, we are doing theology. I provide an opportunity to do theology – to talk about God – for the purposes of completing school work, preparing for exams, and personal edification. No experience is necessary, as I can start the conversation where you are.

I have a few years of tutoring experience in a variety of professional contexts, both within and outside of the church and the academy. I specialise in theological studies in the Christian tradition – church history (especially the early church, the reformation, and the Anglican tradition), systematic theology, biblical studies (especially the Gospels), practical theology (especially pastoral care, spirituality, preaching, and leadership), and theological ethics in particular – but can also teach philosophy – especially philosophy of religion and philosophical ethics – and an introduction to world faiths. I have a Master’s in Theology degree from Trinity College Dublin, as well as professional experience in Christian practice. I can also teach skills for studying theology and religion, including critical thinking, essay writing, and how to read texts, as well as providing access to reading lists on a variety of topics should you wish to delve deeper. Lessons can be shaped to fit a student's needs and learning style, though I generally provide an overview of key themes, followed by worked examples and further reading to enhance a student's understanding. I am happy to provide the PowerPoint presentations and summary sheets I use in lessons so that students can use them for revision.
