I have been teaching for a year now and i had achieved an A in my Economics A level. I would start my lessons by outlining the specification and the area we will be going through in that lesson whilst referring back to the specification throughout. I would make my lessons enjoyable but also effective by not just only using powerpoints. I would also make my lessons interactive by asking to draw diagrams based on different situations that could occur so when it comes to the real exam the student will be well prepared. Once I know the student is comfortable with the fundamentals I will bring in some exam questions in order to familiarise the student with the real exam. I would also set some homework every week. Anexample could be some exam questions which I would mark before the next lesson. The homework could come in the form of doing some research on real world situations in order to add context to exam questions. I also teach other subjects such as GCSE Maths edexcel and GCSE Business studies edexcel. I think it is extremely important for students to really understand the basics and fundamentals before diving straight into harder exam questions. This would be beneficial as it allows the students to use their understanding of the topic/ subject in order to plan and answer the questions. I will also set work outside of lessons such as doing some external research on the UK economy as for when answering exam questions in Economics, this is essential when trying to achieve a high grade(A/A*)
