Dedicated, resourceful, and goal-driven professional educator with a solid commitment to the social academic growth and development of every learner.
My teaching style can be best described as one who includes a diversity of teaching strategies and techniques. I consider myself a strong advocate of a student-centred approach to learning, as I believe that when students gain more control over the learning process and access the curriculum at their own level, teachers can notice an incredible improvement/motivation in their behaviour. However, when they are allowed to make their own decisions and choices, this can reinforce their self-esteem and confidence as well.
I strongly believe that differentiated instruction is the key to effective teaching and learning. Teaching the same material and/or working on the same target by using a variety of instructional strategies and interventions, so they can meet the needs/abilities of each student would ensure that they achieve their potentials much easier. As “No one-size-fits-all”, I make sure that I “tailor” my lesson plans to my student’s individual needs. An adequate differentiated lesson would include strong visual components, collaborative activities, as students learn better from their peers, or a multisensory approach to introduce new information.
My ability, also, to build a meaningful rapport with my students and my willingness to go the “extra mile” are among my strengths. Significantly, the use of ICT in a variety of ways, including producing resources, lesson planning and conducting researches with pupils, has made me realise the importance of technology within the school environment. Furthermore, ICT has a positive effect on pupils and their learning; they are confident at working independently, able to access relevant
