I have taught in schools and Colleges for 23 years, and always make my Art lessons relevant to the contemporary Art world. Sometimes we need contextual history knowledge, and I have a mental filing cabinet of Artist reference to call upon every time. I show you techniques and then you try them.
I give feed back and encourage you to write notes to remind you of how you are progressing and where to go next.

I am a painter and printmaker and can show you techniques which are achievable at your kitchen table. I can help you develop your philosophy surrounding your art making, help you with personal statements for University application or your Artist statement when you hang work in an exhibition. I can advise on hanging plans and give you an overview on how gallery curatorship works when and why you need to let go of your ego and let the hanging team make final decisions!

Lessons are tailored to your Art educational needs. I teach all ages and stages, from GCSE upwards. I can help you discover your specialism in Art too, having led a Foundation Diploma course and sent students on to University.
