Christina in a nutshell
I have vast experience teaching children with a variety of SEND needs. I am very adaptable and caring. In maths I ensure all methods are reinforced using concrete resources. I have a thorough knowledge of the curriculum and pedagogy and will always go at the pace of the learner, ensuring they feel comfortable and confident before moving their learning on.

I also offer French and Spanish classes...

I also offer French and Spanish classes through La Jolie Ronde which are filled with fun and children gain so much from their learning through songs, dance, stories, role plays and just having a great time!

My love of languages sprang up at a very young age as I was involved in many exchanges and had family ties to France and Belgium. I studied French and Spanish in Sheffield and later a translation Masters in Edinburgh. I have spent many years living and working in France (Lille, Rennes, Paris). I have years of experience as a fully qualified primary school teacher and love seeing little faces light up as children learn and succeed. I am bringing my two young children up bilingual. The language at home is Spanish, and we spend many weeks a year in our Spanish village visiting our Spanish side of the family.

Young children absorb the languages they hear and I’m ever impressed by the speed and confidence with which they learn. These are the well-rounded, open-minded communicators of the future and having the confidence and fluency develop in their formative years will open many doors for them in years to come.
