As we meet on Zoom, I will share my desktop screen and we will discuss sentence structuring, conjugations (changing the endings, depending on the tenses) and how to write a more descriptive essay - which meets the GCSE Spanish mark scheme. There will be days where we focus on the same topic until we get the concept down-packed; learning a language requires repetition and determination. We will do quizzes after every topic such as; Everyday activities, Typical conversations, Travel & Tourism, Family, Identity & Culture, Places & time, Social issues, Study and employment, Technology in everyday life, and Education. There’s always room for improvement and I am not one to judge, practice makes perfect! I spoke both English and Spanish at home simultaneously. As a child I did get some Spanish words confused for English words but it got corrected later. Even though I already had knowledge about the language, I had amazing teachers in GCSE and A Levels. They taught me study at my own pace and don’t feel pressured by those around you who understand the content quicker. Having a second language under your belt is a huge advantage in life. It comes in handy in various settings, such as the workplace. A second language Can also add more spice to your personality. When you get deep into learning, you might even start to dream in Spanish! When I was in a country with zero English, I started to dream in Spanish. So, I speak with experience.
