I teach piano, voice, music theory, songwriting, and production. I love finding out what gets my students excited about music and working with their strengths! My students learn not only to play or sing songs, they also learn about the music theory behind the songs, so they can be empowered to exercise their own creativity. As an experienced performer and artist, I can also teach students about songwriting, live performance, home recording, music and video production, forming a band, and the music industry.

I cut my teeth studying classical piano with an acclaimed pianist, and in high school I became a keyboardist and vocalist for one of the United States’ largest megachurches. I began to teach piano lessons while in high school. I later went on to NYC to pursue a music career, where I founded an indie rock band with a cult following. As frontwoman and keyboardist for the band, I produced four albums that were praised by magazines like Spin, Magnet, and Billboard. With the band, I toured extensively and appeared on stages with notable artists such Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings, Kate Nash, Nick Waterhouse, and Lucius. I also have over ten years of classical vocal training from an acclaimed opera singer, and I can help vocal students combine healthy singing with contemporary singing styles.
