I take a holistic approach to my teaching. I often make use of slides & diagrams when teaching online or digitally, along with assigning handouts, exercises and breaking large groups off into pods. I equally take from my coaching experience to occasionally delve deeper into an individual who needs help or wants to reflect in a more structured manner. I am especially fond of Socratic Questioning & tend to structure my programs and style to reflect this methodology. Having a background in Archaeology & Anthropology, I am fascinated with ways in which we find meaning & purpose. I help students get clear on their vision and ambition for life & give them strategies for managing emotions, self advocating & communicating healthily and building healthy habits (or replacing bad ones!).
I equally spend time focusing on peoples' mindsets, their thought patterns and narratives, and often introduce mindfulness techniques drawn from Stoic, Vedic & Taoist philosophy to help them reframe their perspective, decrease anxiety & feelings of depression & centre themselves in their own authority. Students often come away from my classes feeling empowered, capable & ready to take on their challenges.
