I prefer a student-led lesson, rather than me talking at you for however long. Within the first session we will have a short discussion on what works best for you, what you want to get out of our sessions and how we are going to do that. By you telling me what you need from me, it will allow me to create the lessons based on your needs and in the long-term allow you to have better containment of information. Whether you’re a creative learner, visual learner, audio learner, there’s something for everyone. I will follow a brief lesson plan but adapt it so that it is yours. If you require breaks, I’m happy to do that, as I know from experience, working for too long does not have any benefit to learning. As an English tutor who is aimed at teaching younger students, I am looking more at the English language side of things, looking a phonics, sentence structures, different types of words and how we use them. However, if you require anything other than this, please speak to me and I can see what I can do. As I said before, these lessons are student-led, I want you to be comfortable but I will also push you a bit to challenge you further, this will develop confidence in English, but will also hopefully give you the ability to answer your own questions. When it comes to making mistakes, we all make mistakes, I will correct if major, but I would rather question you and allow you to identify mistakes yourself, that’s how we learn!
