Hello everyone! My name is Chloe, and I am a primary school teacher from Scotland, UK.
I’ve had some amazing adventures around the world, like riding a camel in the Sahara Desert, diving in the beautiful Greek Islands, and swimming in the Dead Sea in Israel. I’ve also seen some famous landmarks like the Eiffel Tower and the Colosseum. I used to live in Spain and help people learn English, which was so much fun! I love traveling and learning about new languages and cultures. When I’m not teaching, I stay active as a cheerleading coach and enjoy drawing, painting, and reading—Harry Potter books are my favorite! I’m excited to share all these experiences with you and learn together in our class!
In my class, learning will be like an exciting adventure! We'll play fun games, work together on cool projects, and use colorful pictures and active activities to make lessons super interesting. I'll always be here to cheer you on and help you when you need it, and we’ll have clear routines so you know exactly what to expect in each class. We’ll also explore your questions and ideas, and share our thoughts. You'll feel safe and happy here, and we'll have many chances to talk about what we're learning and how we can get even better together!
I have a love for teaching, learning languages and cultures therefore I am motivated to learn about you and to create a positive impact by helping you in any aspect of the curriculum. I can use my diverse experiences from travel and teaching to engage and inspire learners from around the world while enjoying the personal fulfillment that comes from helping others.
I have 1 year of primary teaching experience in Scotland teaching a composite year 4 and year 5 class. During my time here I incorporated a variety of teaching methodologies into my practice including play pedagogy, digital technology, Content Language Integrated learning and Interdisciplinary learning.
I worked in Almeria, Spain for 1 year and in Granada, Spain for 1 month as an English Language Assistant for children aged 3 to 12. Here I introduced children to the native language, did lots of speaking exercises with them, built their confidence in English, and shared my culture.
I also have 4 years of student primary teaching experience, gaining experience in a variety of classes (years and 6).
I recently completed my 120-hour Premier TEFL course which I have already put into practice working in an English academy. I have taught a small class of 10-year-olds, a small class of 4-year-olds and a one-to-one class with a 40-year-old.
My Education degree includes a specialism in modern languages therefore I have done a lot of research into second language acquisition and second language learning.
Join me on this exciting adventure where learning becomes a fun journey! Together, we'll explore new ideas, play games, and unleash your potential. I'm here to cheer you on every step of the way—let's make this an unforgettable experience! Join me on Zoom or Microsoft teams or if you have any other platform ideas then I am open to trying new things!
