I am a person who suffers with adhd so I find certain teaching methods will not work for every student the same way some teaching methods did not work for me . After initially meeting the student I will figure out if they are an aural , visual or kinaesthetic learner . Based on that information I can plan my lesson . If they are a kinaesthetic learner we will do something more physical and active to learn English !
If they are aural we can practice pronunciation and use English music for a more engaging lesson . If they are visual we can use power point presentations with eye catching colours to keep the student stimulated and focused
I like to provide a 5 minute break half way through an hour lesson . This is to allow for a student to refocus .
I use some of the following :
PowerPoint
Google slide
YouTube
