I am Chloe Downes, an artist and specialist teacher in the North East of England. I have taught children, young people and adults a range of arts medias and techniques, including painting, drawing, textiles, photography, ceramics and sculpture. I enjoy supporting my students to gain confidence in themselves through their artworks.

I am a calm and enthusiastic teacher and artist with several years experience. The most successful lessons happen when students know what they would like to focus on together, and have any equipment they need ready.

Lessons are online based using video and voice and are tailored to your needs and goals. At the beginning of each lesson we will decide on a plan for our time together and a structure for the lesson. This could include painting or photography tutorials, sketchbook or portfolio feedback, or written assignment analysis. At the end of each lesson actionable feedback and 'next steps' are given to support your progress between lessons.

Lessons are available on an individual and group booking basis.
