I am TEFL qualified and have previously worked as a TEFL tutor in Spain, mainly teaching classes of 3-10 year olds but also did 1-1 sessions with teenagers to adults. I am in the process of completing an English Literature degree, in which I can also offer lessons.
My lessons are immersive English based, and prompt constant development.
My teaching methods are usually PPP (presentation, practice and production), in which I set a goal and work closely with students to achieve. All my methods are fun and easily tailored to the specific age, ability or needs of the student. I also enjoy reading with my students as I find it’s an excellent way to monitor progress and to ensure development.
I like to keep a good communication open so that we can work on specific goals and areas of improvement.
I can assist in gaining any qualification from A1-C2 but am mostly familiar with A1 and B2.
I also teach English Literature to ages 11-18. I have an A* in GCSE English Literature, an A in A-Level English and am currently completing an English Literature Degree.
I can assist in developing essay-writing, text analysis methods, close-reading skills and general understanding in the subject.
I have proficiency in all texts currently studied at GCSE level, and can work with individuals to tailor the lessons to their specific wants and goals, whether it’s catching up on missed work, increasing confidence in the unseen poetry sections, or working closely with a difficult text to increase understanding.
