I am a Lecturer of Physics & Chemistry at the Capital City College. I have been teaching and tutoring for 14 years in secondary schools and FE colleges.
I help students to develop a passion for science, to excel and continue to study the subject in higher education.
I have qualified for NPQSL from UCL IOE in April 2024. In addition to NPQML (qualified in 2018), I also have QTS and QTLS. Along with an Honours degree in Chemistry with Physics & Mathematics and a further degree in Biochemical Engineering, I also have an MBA and PGCE. I have also completed a Maths SKE from the Institute of Education.
In my current role as a Lecturer in Physics & Chemistry at the Capital City College, I teach Chemistry to A level and Physics to BTEC Applied Science cohorts. I also teach BTEC National Diploma in Engineering along with GCSE Combined and Separate Sciences.
I am always fascinated by STEM and hence I have decided to become a science teacher with the aim to generate interest among students to pursue a science-based career. I am a committed and an enthusiastic individual who appreciates that science is not every student's favourite subject. However I strive to make individual topics interesting and stress the relevance of science to everyday life. I am reluctant to accept underachievement and strive hard to achieve outstanding results, set high expectations for myself and my students. I will help you to achieve your goals in terms of achieving outstanding results in GCSE and A level.
