Accounting is a practical subject more like math. My teaching approach is student centred. I structure my lessons around the needs of my students. Before addressing their subject difficulties, i prefer to know the student first, create a relationship with my student. From there i assess if they understand the basic concepts of accounting. Everything in accounting is built around the basic concepts of accounting, which is the accounting equation. After, assessment i start addressing the students needs as they share more with me what their challenges are.

I am also very good at introducing accounting for the first time to adult students who are taking accounting for the first time. My simple methods of teaching removes the fear that most students have of accounting.
