I have been a chemistry tutor for more than nine years. I have taught students at different academic levels and those preparing for different chemistry examinations .I have taught students with diverse interest levels for chemistry and have been able to grow their passion for the subject, leading them to achieving desirable results. I conduct physical classes using student-centered approach which has enabled me build healthy academic relationship within and outside the classroom. Because each student has a unique leaning style, the relationship built help me to discover each student's style to deliver teaching. I use differentiated curriculum as a teaching method to meet each student's unique need. I have three years experience in virtual teaching, using platforms such as zoom, WhatsApp, google classroom, etc. to motivate students around the world and improve their understanding of chemistry. I make use of quizzes, drills to assess the level of understanding of the subjects taught and to spur students into independence and self confidence. I prepare lots of practice questions for topics involving calculations to help the students familiarize with formulae and step by step calculation procedures to arrive at correct answers. I also give my students practice exercises for home practice. My classes have also been practical based. Laboratory experience has helped my students to blend basic theoretical knowledge with practice. Over the years, I have thus been able to transfer my passion and understanding of chemistry to my students. I have also employed my knowledge of basic French to reach out to students of French background.
