All my classes are based on a simple premise: practice makes perfect.

If you only do grammar exercises, you will be good at doing grammar exercises! In other words, if you speak a lot of Italian, you will be very good at speaking Italian.

This is where many textbooks, courses and teachers fall short: they focus too much on exercises that do improve your Italian but not in the way you want. (It's like doing sit-ups and expecting your arms to grow!) Of course, exercises are useful for learning the components of the language, but they should always be put in context and take into account your goals.

I have learned this from personal experience studying languages and I keep it in mind while planning all my Italian/Japanese lessons. I try very hard to know what each student is looking for, from our chat at the first class to asking you for constant feedback on the lessons. We don't get distracted and we always move towards your goals.
I will provide you with all the material you will need for our classes (unless you want to work with a textbook, in which case you will need to buy one).

I use material from different academic and real-life sources, but I have also created a lot of my own material, based on my personal experience. This variety will allow us to choose the best resources for your level and objectives.


With each class, you will receive a document with notes on what we have learned, as well as your mistakes and my corrections. You can access and review them at any time from your mobile or computer.

If you want material to study outside of class, I can provide you with exercises and digital tools. These include readings, audios, grammar, vocabulary, writing, videos and so on.
