Working with me is like playing at the playground. Sometimes I am very careful, sometimes we can also have fun. For me, education is always better when there is fun in it.

I always believe the best way to pick up a language is to explore the culture while you're learning it. Apart from me just teaching and you just learning, I also love to exchange thoughts and knowledge on cultures, literature, or anything you're interested in. I would try my best to add them through the learning process.

I have experience in quick memory methods, in hope that would help you to learn in a fun and effective approach, making your learning journey as exciting and easy! I will first teach you a basic learning and teaching style to understand your learning styles, to then I will customise the learning content for you for a smooth process after the first course, but I will make sure there is no pressure from it.

For instance, if it's a two-hour course, I would spend the first hour reviewing the content before and practicing with you, the rest of the time will be new content. What I value the most is verbal practice, so I'll make sure we have at least 10 mins to chat in Mandarin. Instead of feeding new content, I think it is more important to have a strong base. As a result, you would be able to speak the language fluently and with flexibility.

Overall, what I'm offering is to learn Mandarin with the cultural context, so that you can gain comprehension- that Mandarin will not only be your tool but also a new opportunity to explore different perspectives.
