I have been a teacher of flute, dizi (Chinese bamboo flute) and music theory for over 20 years when I was in Hong Kong, working in music studios, schools and privately. I graduated in the Chinese University of Hong Kong, major in Psychology and minor in Music. I got a performance diploma in Flute Recital in the Trinity College London (ATCL) and grade 8 flute certificate in the Associated Board of Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM).
I entered the final in the YMC (Youth Music Channel) Music Festival in Cable TV Hong Kong in 1994. And have been active in participating some amateur orchestras in Hong Kong before immigrating to the UK.
I also got a Basic Certificate in Music Therapy in the University of Hong Kong and a Master of Arts degree in Cultural Management in the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
Most of my students got brilliant results in different kinds of music exams and competitions. All of my students could pass the exams.
I teach students for all different levels, from beginners to who are achieving performance diploma. I am familiar in the existing exam syllabus, both flute and music theory. I am also familiar in the most popular teaching materials for learning flute and theory, such as "A Tune A Day", flute methods and daily practices.
