I am a CELTA qualified English teacher with three years experience working with both children and adults. My experience is within a British Council school and thus I always set high standards for my lessons, ensuring that they are structured to help you achieve your best. I absolutely adore my job and get huge satisfaction from helping others to achieve their goals. I passionately believe that learning should be fun and that every lesson should be something to look forward to.

Language learning is about communication. While this may sound obvious I strongly believe that is should be the primary focus, enabling learners to build their confidence in using language. While accuracy is important, this is a natural follow on from practice, which can only happen if one feels comfortable using the language in different forms.

Lessons are thus designed to help learners build this confidence. However, depending on your aims, the lessons will vary. They may focus on grammar or vocabulary, reading or writing or just improving your conversational English. We may play games, do role plays, have debates or read stories. We may base a lesson around a specific point of grammar, practising in different ways until it becomes second nature to you. But every lesson will have one thing in common.
