I have taught Chinese and African children of all ages and adults to communicate in English. I ran a school for learners to be able to be integrated in schools where an English medium was taught.
Advertising logo's are used in most countries and are a great way to begin teaching English. I have found that recognised signs and products are an effective tool to introduce a language. Every day products are a powerful way to start introducing a new language.
Speech therapy is introduced to enable the learner to be able to communicate in English.
Once a grasp is made of the initial vocabulary and phonics is understood, grammer is important and can be learned through repetition which helps the mind to relate to the language.
Learning can be fun and interaction is an important part of training. Games help us to remember and learn in an easy fashion
