I have worked as a community pharmacist since 2005. I achieved a 1st class with honors in my degree. I did my pre registration training in hospital. I have A levels in biology chemist and physics and level 3 experience in mathematics.

My preferred style of lesson is to chat to a student pre lesson and find out what their objectives are for example
- struggling with a specific concept
- struggling in particular areas of the curriculum
- complete coverage of the curriculum.
- exam technique and exam practice

Once you have expressed what you want to gain/objectives we can work out whether one or more lessons are needed. I then tailor my written notes to suit the lesson and we work through them together. They include example questions and I also have past papers which can be included. I am happy to provide materials and recommended links rather than you trying to make notes throughout the lesson. I like to ask questions throughout to ensure understanding and welcome questions throughout the lesson. I want the learning experience to be enjoyable and everyone is different - once may be enough for someone to understand a concept and for another person it may take repetition and explaining in different ways before they understand and this is fine too.

I like to end each lesson with a summary of what has been covered and what part of the curriculum this covers. I will also assess from questions throughout the lesson whether I think the student is now confident or would benefit from another lesson on the topic. If lessons are ongoing or ordered in packs I encourage homework and I'm happy to mark this prior to the next lesson.

I am really passionate that everyone regardless of age and ability gets the opportunity to learn and better themselves and find it a privilege to be involved and make a difference!
