I am a hardworking, ambitious accounting graduate (BA Hons 2:1); with the ability to stay efficient within fast paced, challenging environments. Not only do I work cohesively within a team, I also have strong leadership skills and a methodical and organised approach to work. I have a strong passion for working with and helping children of all ages with personal and learning development.

I am a forward thinker with analytical skills which can be infiltrated positively to influence and encourage others. I have excellent communication skills and multitasking is my forté, along with lateral thinking abilities, strong experience in IT, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word. These skills have enabled me to lead classes and support learning activities with children. My previous positions in schools have allowed me to understand the importance of time-keeping, honesty, effective communication, and handling confidential information efficiently i.e children with unstable/challenging homes/SEN may share sensitive information which I would ensure is communicated to the relevant member of staff.

I am able to use my initiative and work independently to solve problems, utilising these skills illustrates my excellence, which in effect, resulted in positively impacting children's behaviour and attitude to learning. I am a committed, reliable individual who seeks to excel in every task set before me, whilst developing myself. I have previous experience with working within schools ranging from ages 2-11 years old with different learning abilities. These roles have allowed me to exercise skills learning how to assist children to meet their individual needs.

When working with challenging children, I find it best to listen and communicate with the children to understand what may have caused their outburst or challenging behaviour with patience, and then try to put together techniques to help them cope i.e positive comments, regular praises and rewards. I am reliable and flexible to ensure that there is a smooth running of schedules i.e prepare resources for the children ahead of time, maintaining a clear working environment for the children, supporting and assessing of children's learning activity.

I have the ability and experience to lead, organise, supervise and participate with small and large groups of children of all ages with and without learning difficulties as well as tracking and recording children’s progress. I enjoy working and playing with children and have a great sense of humour. Through my experience as a Learning Support assistant as well as being a mother, I have learnt how to display endless patience and good listening skills in a calm manner. With any child I am supporting, I push and encourage them to achieve the learning objective by breaking down tasks for their level, asking questions that can provoke thoughts outside of the box and providing learning manipulatives as examples.
