During my teaching experience, I tend to deliver sessions that are practical in nature. Particularly with SPSS and statistics, I do this through a demonstration from myself and then guidance for the student whilst they complete the analysis themselves. Following the analysis, I work through the results with the students to explain which results are important and how to report these results in a psychological report, as I know this can be a confusing part of report writing.
In terms of general Psychology content, I like to keep the content exciting and am more than happy to create resources and activities which might allow you to consider the subject area in a different way than you have been. From experience, I know that sometimes all it takes is for something you are struggling with to be framed in a different way for it to click into place.
However, the way I work is, of course, totally dependent on the content that the student should wish to be covered and how the student works best, and I am happy to tailor the content and dynamics of the lesson to the preferences of the student. I teach in an informal and friendly way with absolutely no pressure on the student, and prefer to allow the student to learn through conversation rather than talking at you for a certain length of time!
I am also experienced at marking essays at University level, and have had some experience of marking A Level papers also. I would be more than happy to look at any essay or report drafts you may have and give feedback on where you can improve in terms of structure, content and psychological terminology/academic writing style. I would also be more than happy to mark any past papers you complete and give you feedback on where you can get those top marks.
