My lesson plans are usually structured into four sections known in pedagogy as 'The four part lesson plan' . My extensive training has highlighted that this method has proven to be the most effective for learning, once adapted to the specific needs of each student. I always edit and restructure my lesson plans to the needs of all my students as individual learners and truly dedicate my time to ensure that they have access to the material.

Part 1- Connection (Do now and recall)
This is where I will give students a task to complete that should take no longer than 3-5 minutes and it will be recalling/recapping information from our previous lesson. This ensures that previous learning has become cemented into the knowledge bank and allows a quick discussion to highlight that we are ready to move onto the new knowledge.

Part 2- Activation phase
This is the part of my lesson where we will learn a new topic and discuss it accordingly. We will delve into the new ideas and concepts and create a basic understanding of the knowledge that has been presented.

Part 3- Demonstration phase
A stage where students take control of the learning from the activation stage and take it to a new level to show their understanding and mastery of the lesson objectives set. ?During this stage, more than others,
students show their creativity and resilience as risk takers and are involved in a constant process of self monitoring, with myself as the facilitator to ensure success.

Part 4- Consolidation Task
Consolidation needs to be a task whereby students can effectively reflect on everything they have learnt in the lesson and how they have arrived at that learning. Work should be reviewed against key criteria.
