Hi! I'm Charmaine.

I'm extremely friendly, open, & easy to talk to.

I am a very experienced art teacher/educator with a fantastic track record for achieving success & satisfaction for my students. I have taught Art & Art history for over 20 years (Mainstream & SEN) & have a PGCE in Art & 1st class Bachelors Degree in Fine Art.

My time with you will inspire, motivate, and guide your Art practice, ideas & theory. Cheerful, relaxed lessons with lots of experienced advice, encouragement to boost your artistic abilities and self esteem.

We will start the sessions with your goals and hopeful outcomes and build from there. The time is spent showing you techniques, planning your ideas, showing you exemplar etc, specifically connecting to your sketchbook (GCSE/A level/College), unit of work, exam preparation, portfolio content or research.

Additional guidance is given on Art materials, locations for inspiration and hand-picked resources tailored to your artworks.

I can guide you with a wide range of Art practices for example, drawing, line work, assemblage, installation lino and mono printing, pen work, acrylic and watercolour painting, textile work, mixed media, photomontage, etc. The materials I will suggest will be easily accessible and affordable.

I will introduce you to the work of artists/designers/craftspeople, linked to your work, who will inspire you and open up new possibilities.

We can meet on Zoom, Teams, Google Meet or a platform of your choice. I am very flexible with my time and happy to help fit in around you!
