I would tailor each lesson to my student, depending on the subject/their current level in that particular area and their age.
The first lesson will be spent mostly allowing me to understand what my student is looking to achieve so that I can make lesson plans and prepare the correct materials for a more efficient and beneficial lesson.

For English as a foreign language, I would use a combination of methods with focus on whatever the student needs to improve, for example spoken English or written English. I may set homework depending on the level of the student but for the most part the lessons would be fairly casual, with a friendly and chatty environment rather than a strict one!

For Spanish, I prefer to use verbal and written simultaneously, ideally with the student having a dedicated notebook as we work through the basics and different topics.

Overall I aim to be a tutor who teaches to achieve the goals of the student and not just always stick to a standard lesson plan.
