I am an enthusiastic and personable fine art graduate and TA with 5 years of study and experience of teaching looking for a new opportunity to apply my skills, and I would love to bring my knowledge and insight to your growing team of tutors.

Having both studied and tutored art, I believe my experience of helping a variety of children with different educational and emotional needs gain the confidence and skill needed with art materials has equipped me with the skills necessary to maximise student potential. My approach to learning is adaptable and I employ diverse educational strategies in order to ensure the students I am working with are appropriately challenged within their capabilities.

My work with KS2 children has allowed me to implement strong building blocks of art in addition to fostering a culture of curiosity and discovery. My work with Untapped Art Therapy (ages 11-21) continues to allow me to build upon these skills; focusing on inspiration, responding to stimuli, observational drawing and developing ideas.

Studying gave me an opportunity to develop and refine my own practice through creating and working to a brief, in depth analysis and extensive contextual research. I believe that working as a practising artist is a key factor in the ability to teach art in a meaningful and effective manner as it allows me to constantly progress: I cannot expect a student to constantly work on their skills if I am not setting a prime example.

I hold free consultations and taster sessions with all of my students prior to an agreed schedule in order to ensure I can meet the needs and learning style of each student. I would love to help you or your children develop their artistic practice whatever the need may be!
