I have had quite a few years of experience working with students 4-40 years old and understand that every student has their own strengths and unique way of learning. I alwaystry to create a fun interactive environment suited to the student with a focus on themselves and their learning.
I am currently doing a PhD at Imperial College London at the Dyson school of Design Engineering and my project is on Electric vehicle cooling systems.
I have taught in schools, as a private tutor and at universities and try to bring my love of science, mathematics and engineering into each lesson.
All my lessons are unique as I feel each student benefits from learning in their own way. My typical lesson format for an hour is minutes of warm up questions and reviewing the last lesson, then going over the new material for this lesson followed by work sheets and finally an overall review of the lesson and ask what they would like to cover next lesson.
For younger students I tend to do game focused questions to make learning fun (I also use this occasionally with older students as starter exercises but I still think it's just as fun!)
For GCSE and A level students I also use exam style questions along with worksheets so they can get used to answering them in the format of an exam. On top of this I help with exam technique to understand how to answer questions in the most effective way.
If you have any questions feel free to reach out to me.
