Lessons with me will be focused and aimed at what works best for you! If you are struggling with a certain topic or skill we will focus on this together until you are confident, and I will ensure we continue to revisit these over our time studying together so we maintain this confidence. We will start with a session discussing what you are hoping to gain from tutoring, what you struggle with, what you would like to improve, what you excel in etc and I will create a study plan from there to ensure we cover everything you wish to in time for your exam or the time you need the skills and knowledge for.

I offer tutoring for History, English (Literature and Language), Religious Studies and Oxbridge Admissions.

My tutoring style is very tailored to the exams, so I will help you not only with content but with understanding how to use content in order to achieve the highest marks possible. Together then, you can expect that we will do activities such as planning and practicing exam questions, studying mark schemes and examiner reports, looking at exemplar answers, additional to learning and testing content knowledge. Within this, I have created, for GCSE and A-Level students in particular, revision resources including summary sheets for a wide range of topics, flashcard packs, and essay plans and templates, to bolster your revision alongside my tutoring and your in-school classes, and best prepare you for your exams.

Importantly though, with my students I want to cultivate their likes and interests in the subjects I teach. Studying them at Oxford, I love my subjects and am very passionate about them so I would like to share that passion because I believe if a student enjoys their subject and if it engages them, they will naturally be more enthusiastic about learning and will achieve higher grades.
