Hello!

My name is Charlotte and I would love to share my passion for language learning with you!

I understand that you may feel nervous about embarking upon your language learning journey. Don't worry! With me as your teacher, you will be in patient, understanding hands. I have ten years of experience and expertise from the classroom to share with you. Over the years I have met every kind of student and personality going. I can adapt our lessons together to suit who YOU are as a learner. I have quite a few tricks up my sleeve! I love to incorporate music, quizzes, videos etc. into my lessons. You may prefer to learn the "old-school" way with lots of grammar drills, or you may be more interested in conversational-led learning. Together we will find out what works best for you.

My background: I graduated with a First Class Honours Degree in German and Scandinavian Studies (Norwegian) from the University of Edinburgh. I then completed a PGDE in secondary education and began working as a high school teacher of German in Scotland. I later added Spanish to my repertoire through an additional qualification. I worked as a teacher in Scotland for 10 years until my family relocated to Norway in December 2020. Becoming a mother has driven my decision to return to teaching in a more flexible capacity,
