The first few minutes of a lesson will be spent working out topics and areas that the student is most struggling with. I will then go through, in detail, the information needed for the topic. I have the advantage of having a sister doing GCSEs this year - as well as completing my GCSEs just four years ago. This means I am completely up to date in the latest specifications as well as proficient in teaching the topics.
I have worked with primary school children before as a classroom assistant so I feel confident teaching students. I also have over a year’s experience in customer service at a highly respected bistro - meaning I am more than proficient in talking to new people, as well as being very friendly and approachable!
I aim to provide lessons that are greatly student-led. This means that all topics covered will have been mentioned by the student as a ‘weak area’, rather than just teaching what I believe i should be teaching. This also means I am more than happy to explain or go over a concept as many times as needed. I will not be annoyed at students asking for help - that’s what i’m here for!
During my A-Levels I had a period of low motivation due to low grades, so I know how it feels to need the extra help! I turned myself around and got the grades I wanted through hard work and dedication - and i’m now studying at university. It can be done and i’m here to help!
