I am currently studying as a second year English Language and Linguistics student at the University of Sheffield. I received an A* in English Language A-Level (AQA) and received a level 9 in English Language GCSE (AQA). I am incredibly passionate about English Language and would love to help my students thrive through tailored one-to-one lessons.

Success in English Language, particularly at GCSE and A-Level, is built with confidence in the subject- and as your confidence improves, so will your grades! My lessons are made personalised to your abilities and needs, and I use a variety of teaching methods to maximise our lessons. Lesson plans are made with your academic goals taken into consideration, so a selection of tailored starter tasks, main tasks and exam preparations will be provided.

If your interest is in GCSE-level tutoring, lessons will be focused on the key preparations needed for this level. GCSE English Language is focused predominantly on recognising skills such as inference, words and phrases, language features and techniques, sentence forms, structure and evaluation.

If your interest is in A-Level tutoring, lessons will be focused on the key preparations needed for this level. A-Level English Language is focused predominantly on textual variations, meaning and representations, child language development, language diversity, change and discourses and analysis. NEA coursework is also assessed via a language investigation and a piece of original writing and commentary.

By effectively using my experience and knowledge of the English Language subject, I aim to help you achieve all of the goals you intend to reach, whilst engaging in fun and creative lessons!
